France has successfully avoided a recession, with its GDP growing by 0.2% in the second quarter. This economic upturn was primarily fueled by robust exports and a recovering domestic demand. Additionally, household consumption saw a 0.4% increase, further contributing to the positive economic outlook.
On the environmental front, the intense wildfires that have gripped the Gironde region are now reported as stabilized, with residents of nine communes permitted to return home.
