Russian forces conducted a deadly artillery attack in Bugayivka, Kharkiv region, killing five people and destroying buildings. Additionally, all gas stations in a community in the Poltava region were reportedly destroyed overnight in Russian strikes. Ukrainian air defense systems intercepted 92 out of 126 drones and a Kh-59/69 missile launched by Russian forces.
Ukrainian intelligence indicates Russia is increasing its missile production, particularly jet-powered Shaheds, with plans for a significant increase in their share of total drone output for 2026. However, the Main Intelligence Directorate also reported that Russia has halted the production of its 'Kinzhal' and Kh-32 missiles. Concerns are mounting over the Ukrainian energy sector's unpreparedness for the upcoming winter, with communities falling behind approved plans and accumulated debts.
Amid these developments, the Chernobyl zone is reportedly being prepared for a potential renewed Russian offensive on Kyiv. On a positive note, Moldova will transfer 20 locomotives to Ukraine to improve cargo transit, helping to alleviate issues caused by Russian strikes.
