Kosovo is grappling with a tragic workplace accident at the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK), which resulted in the death of a long-term employee. In a more positive development, work has commenced on an industrial park in Podujevë, an initiative welcomed by Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
The country's political landscape remains fraught, with the Assembly gridlock deepening over the unresolved presidential election. The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) has intensified its opposition, sending a new letter to convene a parliamentary session, which was immediately refused by Vetëvendosje MP Avni Dehari. On the international front, the EU has confirmed that conditions have been met for the opening of the Ibri Bridge, while discussions about a potential reduction in the KFOR peacekeeping force in northern Kosovo are underway.
