A significant and concerning discovery has been made in Zubin Potok, where Kosovo Police have uncovered mass graves and a substantial arsenal of weapons, including long arms, explosives, and military uniforms. Police Director Gazmend Hoxha and Minister of Internal Affairs Xhelal Sveçla have provided details on the findings, with bone remains believed to belong to at least 23 individuals. Exhumation work in the area is expected to conclude this week, followed by DNA analysis.
Meanwhile, the country's political gridlock continues to deepen as the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), joined by members of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, has escalated its protests by blocking the government entrance and parliament for seven days. Opposition parties are demanding that Prime Minister Albin Kurti appear in the Assembly. This ongoing institutional blockade is warned to lead to increased citizen anger.
In other developments, a Serbian delegation reportedly walked out during Kosovo's 'Prishtina 2030' presentation, highlighting continued regional tensions. The Ministry of Education has advised citizens against rushing to buy textbooks as price negotiations are ongoing, and Kosovo Police have arrested a suspect in an airplane ticket scam.
