Ukraine is grappling with a significant escalation in deadly Russian attacks on civilian targets. A shopping mall in Kryvyi Rih was struck twice, resulting in 16 fatalities and 130 injuries, while a ballistic missile attack on a Kyiv railway enterprise killed one worker. The 'Oskar' shopping center in Kherson was also destroyed, with widespread impacts reported across the country.
In a separate domestic incident, a military recruitment officer was killed in Lviv. Politically, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree to establish a monument to Hetman Ivan Mazepa in Kyiv. Meanwhile, former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov is reportedly considering a presidential run, and commanders from 12 military units have reportedly requested the release of former head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak.
On the military front, Ukrainian forces reportedly struck an Ozon logistics hub in Russia for the first time. Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiha noted progress in acquiring interceptors for Patriot missile defense systems, indicating a receptive stance from international partners.
