A new government, led by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, has been voted into office, bringing an end to the prolonged parliamentary deadlock. The 'Kurti 4' government secured approval with 62 votes in the Assembly.
However, this development has immediately triggered a legal challenge from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), which has filed a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court. The PDK is contesting the constitution of the Assembly and the formation of the government, seeking a temporary measure to halt the process.
In other significant news, the trial of former KLA leaders, including former President Hashim Thaçi, is nearing its end, with a verdict anticipated in two days. Meanwhile, the Assembly's constitution proceeded with Albulena Haxhiu elected as Speaker, despite the absence of a nominated deputy speaker from the PDK.
