Ukraine is observing a day of mourning in Balakliya after recent Russian drone attacks caused fatalities and damage. Simultaneously, a massive Russian attack on Odesa's energy infrastructure has left 178,000 families without electricity, with explosions also reported in Kyiv and other regional centers.
The country continues to face widespread Russian assaults, including the use of 'Zircon' missiles, resulting in 8 civilian deaths and over 30 wounded in three regions, and an enterprise fire in Khmelnytskyi. Amidst these attacks, the United States has approved the potential sale of over $2.5 billion in air defense systems to Ukraine, and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked President Donald Trump for signing sanctions against Russia.
In a positive development, a rescue operation successfully extracted 21 soldiers who had been entrenched for ten months. Meanwhile, internal military discussions surfaced with Serhii 'Flash' Beskrestnov, an advisor to President Zelenskyy, accusing former Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi of inaction on MESH drones.
