President Sergio Mattarella has publicly weighed in on the government's controversial proposal to cap foreign students in schools, asserting that educational institutions must be inclusive and avoid creating 'ghettos'. This intervention follows Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's push for new measures, with Education Minister Roberto Valditara clarifying that the caps would extend to European students and are aimed at countering 'white flight' from certain schools.
