New details have emerged regarding recent drone incidents in the country, with police investigating debris from a 'Geran-4' type drone equipped with a turbojet engine after explosions were reported in northern Moldova. Concerns about the state's vulnerability to drone threats are also under scrutiny, while reports link Telegram channels to the arrival of a 'drone plane' prior to Russian drones entering Moldovan airspace.
Meanwhile, the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) is set to examine requests for significant increases in natural gas and thermal energy tariffs on Monday, September 28th. Proposed hikes include a gas tariff of 26.14 lei/m³ and thermal energy tariffs of 3277 lei/Gcal, potentially leading to higher heating costs for residents in Chisinau and Balti. Former Minister Andrei Spînu commented on Energocom's gas tariff request, noting current prices are considerably lower than in 2022.
