Authorities have initiated criminal proceedings against a citizen suspected of being involved in Russian influence activities and leaking diplomatic information. This development follows earlier reports of a Russian propaganda network operating within the country, indicating an escalation in official action against such threats.
Meanwhile, Skopje is facing new infrastructure challenges, with various parts of the city experiencing simultaneous water and electricity outages. In a separate development, a significant operation against organized crime led to 21 arrests and 36 searches across Skopje and Prilep, while the owner of 'Puls' magazine, Dejan Jovanov, faces a request for continued detention and new charges for allegedly offering a bribe at the Ministry of Economy.
On the diplomatic front, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski highlighted the strong alliance with the United States by sharing a photo from a reception with US President Donald Trump. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is also in Skopje today for ongoing discussions centered on the country's EU integration and necessary reforms.
