Kyiv's Northern Bridge was once again targeted by a Russian drone strike this morning, causing a large crater on its road surface. Video footage capturing the moment of impact has emerged, detailing the damage to this vital river crossing. The attack is part of a broader pattern of Russian forces targeting critical infrastructure, as experts discuss Russia's modification of reactive drones and its increasing advantage in the sky over Ukraine.
Amidst these ongoing threats, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz arrived in Kyiv, promising thousands of drone interceptors to aid Ukraine's defense against Russian aggression. Separately, a four-ton humanitarian aid package, including food, medicine, and children's kits, was successfully delivered for the second time to the occupied town of Oleshky by Ukrainian forces.
Beyond the capital, Russian forces also attacked a communications company in Dnipro and struck Sumy with KAB bombs, resulting in injuries. Meanwhile, in a positive development, Svitlana Merkulova, a teacher from the Kyiv region, was awarded the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine 2026.
