The preliminary results of Bosnia and Herzegovina's general elections have been released, indicating the leading candidates for the country's tripartite Presidency. Denis Bećirović is ahead for the Bosniak seat, Željka Cvijanović is victorious for the Serb seat, and Darijana Filipović is leading for the Croat position. Notably, two women have been elected to the Presidency, and the winning candidate received the fewest votes in history.
Initial outcomes also highlight significant shifts in the political landscape, with the SBiH party emerging as a major winner, while parties like Democratic Front (DF) and Naša Stranka (NS) experienced losses. Political analysts suggest that the focus will now turn to negotiations to form a new government. Additionally, the number of invalid ballots in these elections was notably lower compared to previous polls.
