The ongoing mayoral election in Krakow has taken a new turn as independent candidate Łukasz Gibala has filed a lawsuit against his opponent, Monika Piątkowska, escalating the electoral dispute into the court system. Piątkowska is backed by the Civic Coalition, which has previously faced internal tensions over the Krakow election.
