Prosecutors target crime boss's property and luxury vehicles

The Special State Prosecutor's Office is moving to permanently seize 54,000 square meters of land and two Mercedes G500s belonging to Radoje Zvicer. Mr Zvicer, the fugitive leader of the Kavaā clan, is the subject of this asset forfeiture request following his alleged involvement in organized crime, as the state moves to ensure his holdings do not outlast his liberty.

The State Audit Institution has entered a general strike, suspending all audits and threatening the deadline for the final budget account. Separately, the government is promoting a 'Euro model' to overhaul the labor market and has reported a 2.4% rise in foreign trade for the first eight months of the year, largely driven by spending on machinery and fuel.

The Netherlands has signaled it will support the provisional closure of seven EU negotiation chapters in mid-October. Domestically, the Clinical Center is moving against several doctors after a public interest watchdog intervened, while the Special Prosecutor’s Office took less than a day to dismiss a criminal complaint against the Supreme State Prosecutor.
