Minister misled Parliament over use of AI

Rob Jetten told Parliament that artificial intelligence had no hand in his official social media presence; an investigation by de Volkskrant suggests it did. It is a minor deception about a major technology, and one that arrives just as researchers are warning against using AI as a political ghostwriter.
The capital is finding it harder to accommodate its guests, with 24 million overnight stays annually turning the city into what some residents call an unmanaged Disneyland. While the municipality struggles with tourism, homeowners are watching the ground: a prolonged drought has left half a million houses at risk of subsidence as their foundations fail.
In Limburg, the solution to the water table is more mechanical: houses are being placed on metal trays and jacked into the air to stay clear of floods. In the port of Rotterdam, the solution is biological. Authorities hope that restoring rabbit populations in nearby protected areas will satisfy conservation rules and finally allow new building permits to be issued.
