Ukraine experienced a day of intense Russian attacks, with a missile strike on a multi-story building in Pryluky resulting in up to 22 fatalities and over 50 injuries, including children. Kyiv also faced a morning drone attack that killed one or two people and injured several, leading to water and power outages, and damaging a high-rise, a pharmaceutical factory, and an Auchan warehouse.
Further deadly incidents included a Russian attack in Kramatorsk that killed 12 people, while the Odesa region saw an animal shelter and cars damaged. In a separate domestic concern, a new scam has emerged where criminals are reportedly stealing old SIM card numbers to gain unauthorized access to the 'Diia' government services app and secure loans.
Amidst these events, the Institute for the Study of War reported that Ukrainian forces are conducting counteroffensives in the Donetsk region. Separately, Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, addressed a crisis in mobilization and veteran policy, emphasizing its interconnectedness and potential implications for the country.
