Milan Radoičić, a figure accused by the Kosovo Special Prosecution Office of organizing and leading the 2023 Banjska attack, was observed at an election rally for the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in Kragujevac, standing next to Danilo Vučić, the son of former President Aleksandar Vučić. Radoičić, a former Vice President of the Serb List, publicly admitted responsibility for the Banjska incident but remains at large in Serbia under an obligation to report periodically to the police. This public appearance adds a new dimension to the ongoing scrutiny over election integrity and the ruling party's associations.
Meanwhile, the unified voter list for the parliamentary elections scheduled for October 25 has been finalized. The election campaign has also seen new allegations of violence, with actor Aleksandar Marinković reporting that his son was assaulted by SNS activists outside a theater in Niš. Separately, a young man was arrested in Zrenjanin on suspicion of injuring ten people, including seven police officers, in a chaotic incident.
In other domestic news, a candidate from the opposition Student List, Jugoslav Ristic, unveiled specific measures aimed at increasing pensions, while sociologist Jovo Bakić, also a Student List candidate, discussed the political struggle. Concerns are also rising over the expected increase in heating prices this winter, and parents are demanding accountability for a near-fatal drowning incident at a pool in Niš.
