The initial results and analyses of the municipal and Senate elections indicate significant shifts in the political landscape. The ANO party experienced setbacks in municipal elections and Senate races, particularly losing ground in major cities. Conversely, opposition parties like STAN (Mayors and Independents) and KDU-ČSL (Christian Democrats) performed well, with STAN emerging as a leading opposition force in municipal councils.
Coalition formations are now underway in various municipalities, and the Senate election campaign continues in 22 electoral districts for the second round. The results also show some individual successes, such as Jan Grolich, chairman of the KDU-ČSL, winning his Senate first round. Meanwhile, President Petr Pavel traveled back to the Czech Republic from Morocco on a business jet.
