Ukraine is grappling with a critical shortage of Patriot air defense missiles, according to reports from The Washington Post, at a time when Russia has intensified its widespread drone and missile attacks across the country. These assaults have targeted energy infrastructure, leading to emergency power outages in Kyiv, Lutsk, and other regions, with the New York Times reporting Russia's intent to disrupt electricity, water, and heating in major cities within a month.
Today's attacks resulted in fatalities and significant damage, including a deadly drone strike on a market in Kharkiv that killed two and injured 14, and the complete destruction of a foreign enterprise in a western Ukrainian town. Explosions were also reported in Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, and Uman, with cities experiencing fires and blackouts.
In other domestic news, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has accused court experts of falsifying evidence in the property valuation case of former SBU official Illia Vitiuk's wife.
