Russian forces launched a series of attacks across Ukraine, hitting an industrial enterprise in Volyn, which caused a large fire and prompted evacuations in some areas. Further strikes targeted an energy facility in the Ternopil region, leading to power outages for consumers, and the Kromberg & Schubert plant in Lutsk ceased operations after being hit. These attacks are part of a broader pattern, with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stating that Russia has struck Ukrainian energy infrastructure 76 times since United States President Donald Trump announced an 'energy truce'.
In Zaporizhzhia and Poltava, casualties were reported following a Russian attack involving a ballistic missile and 180 drones, with a man killed in the Poltava region by a drone. Amidst these ongoing assaults, emergency power outages have been implemented in the Kyiv and Odesa regions without prior notice for many residents. Domestically, a new development in mobilization may see some Ukrainian men lose their deferment.
On the international front, United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Ukraine currently does not have access to Starshield. Concurrently, Yuriy Butusov, editor-in-chief of Censor.NET and a platoon commander of the 13th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine 'Charter', warned that a potential cessation of US support would be highly detrimental to Ukraine. In a diplomatic development, Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar has indicated no objection to the transit of Ukrainian grain through Hungary.
