The Civil Guard's Central Operative Unit (UCO) has uncovered the disappearance of invoices within the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party's (PSOE) accounting, raising new questions about potential illegal financing. This development comes as the party faces an ongoing investigation into its financial practices.
In the political arena, People's Party (PP) leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo has signaled a willingness to 'reciprocate' Vox if the far-right party withdraws from provinces where they cannot secure a senator, as negotiations continue to form a Senate majority. Meanwhile, a new electoral poll suggests that the PSOE and the former United We Can alliance have lost 12 seats, though the right-wing bloc of PP and Vox collectively maintains a majority of 195 seats.
Separately, a judge has paved the way for rejecting evictions by ruling against a landlord citing a 'collapse' in the housing market. In Andalusia, the PP, led by Juanma Moreno, supported a Vox proposal to deport immigrants as a solution to the housing crisis. Consumer affairs authorities have also requested the removal of thousands of tourist apartment advertisements that may violate rental regulations.
