Kyiv experienced widespread Russian ballistic missile attacks today, resulting in one fatality and 15 injuries. Strikes hit various civilian targets, including a university campus, a hospital, a shopping mall, and the Southern Bridge, which has been closed to traffic due to damage. The closure of the Southern Bridge has caused significant transport paralysis across the capital, leading to kilometer-long traffic jams and extremely high taxi fares.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Russia launched 16 ballistic missiles at Ukraine overnight, with Ukrainian air defense systems intercepting two Iskander missiles and 255 drones. Zelenskyy also stated that 'artificial delays' in the supply of Patriot air defense systems are aiding Russia. In response to the ongoing attacks, Ukraine's Ministry of Defense has formally requested 10 Patriot and IRIS-T missile systems from Germany, Britain, France, Poland, and Italy.
In a positive development, a humanitarian mission has begun in Oleshky to rescue people, with a ceasefire regime now in effect as parties adhere to agreements. Elsewhere, a city has been without electricity and gas for nearly four days, and a Russian drone attack on Bukovina damaged an energy facility, causing casualties.
