Security services arrest leaders of Russian propaganda network

Security services in Risan have apprehended Mikhail and Valeriya Zvinčuk, the alleged leaders of Rybar, a Russian hybrid network suspected of influence operations. The US State Department had previously offered a $10 million reward for information on the pair, whom it accuses of attempting to interfere in American elections. Some local reports identify the elder Zvinčuk as a colonel in Russia's military intelligence service.

The Special Prosecutor’s Office has indicted eight people for allegedly smuggling more than four tons of cocaine. Following the charges, the speaker of parliament met with US diplomats to suggest that Montenegrin nationals linked to international cartels should be extradited to the United States.

A fire at the Podgorica Clinical Center forced an evacuation of the polyclinic wing. Hospital directors reported that staff and patients were moved safely. Elsewhere, the national airline has secured a state contract worth up to 4.79 million euros to maintain five routes to major European cities, and new regulations will allow digital nomads to extend their stay in the country for up to four years.
