Luxembourg’s front pages have turned their gaze entirely outward this morning, finding little at home to compete with the instability of their neighbors. The day’s coverage is a catalogue of external crises, from the record 855 arrests following violent protests in France to the fatal crash of a Saudi military aircraft near the Yemeni border.
The rest of the news cycle is similarly global. Reports focused on a journalist beaten by Israeli settlers, the increasing frequency of Russian 'gray zone' attacks on European soil, and the prospect of political paralysis within the European Union. When the domestic well runs dry, a country tends to notice how loud its neighbors are being.
